"Wrong way" McMorris Rogers is always on the wrong side of history. This time she and the GOP gang are waaaaaaay over on that seditionist side because that's where there are plenty of idiots passing out cash for campaigns. But to be fair to GOP conservatives: Love of an authoritarian regime has always been the main draw--a "feature, not a bug--for the GOP and conservatives. They like to whine about freedom but when it comes down to the wire, they've always chosen the side with greater oppression and control over the "rabble" they dislike. That's been SOP for conservatives from before the Revolutionary War. Same roughly 33% of the population has always loved the notion of a more dictatorial government. Take a look at those who preferred a monarchy in 1770; those Southern conservatives (then called Democrats) who were happy to be traitors to the USA and get their authoritarian regime 160 years ago; the same roughly 33% who felt the US would be better served on the side of fascists in Italy, Germany and Spain 80 years ago; The same roughly 33% who reveled in McCarthy's authoritarian witch-hunts; the current Putin-adoring lickspittles in the USA..and on and on. GOP is basically morally bankrupt so to expect someone like McMorris Rogers to act in any way other than that moral bankruptcy is asking a leopard to change their spots. Again, feature not bug: They CHOOSE the moral bankruptcy because they like it that way.
