Professor Judy Manton discusses "The Plight of the Uyghurs in China" with memories of her visits to areas in China. The Uyghurs in western China, as many as 1.5 million of whom are in concentrations camps for “education” and forced labor.  This course will consider the condition of the Uyghurs and other Muslims throughout China whose practice of Islam is also being suppressed under communism, but whose story is not being told in the West.
