Imagination Englewood If would like to invite you to our Open House happening this Saturday, February 12th, from 12 PM-3 PM. Our Open House is taking place at our new home, Imagination House, located in West Englewood. Come tour our new program space, meet our dynamic team and learn about our winter programs. On-site registration for Imagination Explorers: After School Program, Progressionista Book Club and our iTribe Volunteer Program will be available. We will also provide tours of the amazing Peace Campus upon request. All event attendees will have temperature checked upon entry, must wear a mask, and practice social distancing when appropriate. Don’t Forget – Imagination Explorers starts Monday, Feb 14th and Progressionista kicks off Saturday, Feb 19th. Program space is limited! We spark a love of learning through academic support and fun enrichments that prepare them for their personal and professional growth. Participants also engage in daily themed activities that include STEAM, environmental awareness, and healthy living. During this key development time, youth are encouraged to live to their full potential and find their voice. Progressionista Book Club based in Englewood exposes Chicago girls ages 8-12, to the self-discovering power of reading for leisure while building a storybook sisterhood. Our monthly book club meetings feature diverse women professionals and interactive career activities related to the next fictional read. Our speakers -- or Progressionistas -- engage participants by sharing intimate stories about their careers and relating them to the group’s next book. Every meeting creates a girl power experience that further entices participants to read over the next month. Imagine Englewood If (IEi) is a community organization devoted to strengthening and empowering the Greater Englewood community by engaging youth and families in activities and programs on healthy living, environmental awareness and positive interaction. Today, Imagine Englewood If remains steadfast in its pursuit to make a difference by providing afterschool and summer programming, being advocates for lead poisoning prevention, teaching youth and residents gardening skills, hosting healthy food demonstrations, and organizing the largest community clean up on the Southside of Chicago - Greater Englewood Unity Day.
