Backpack Friends is looking for Heroes to help us make our 2nd annual Heroes Against Hunger Golf Tournament a success. Backpack Friends is looking for Heroes to help us make our 2nd annual Heroes Against Hunger Golf Tournament a success. Come by and meet the crew, see what Backpack Friends is all about, and how you can get involved. Light snacks will be provided. There are several ways you can help: **Hero Referrals (1 point) **Player+Team Referrals (2 points for individuals, 4 points for a full team) **Sponsorship dollars raised (5 points per $500) **Working the event (15 points) **Attending Hero Hour (2 points per event) Whatever way(s) work for you will earn you points. These points will be tallied after the upcoming event. The top 3 point-earners will receive a gift as a thank you for all of your efforts, and will be announced at the Hero Appreciation Party. DID YOU KNOW: That 1 out of every 4 kids in Texas won't have enough food to eat this weekend? DID YOU KNOW: That there are thousands of children who rely on school meals during the week, but spend the weekends in homes that are food insecure? DID YOU KNOW: We're on a mission to wipe out weekend hunger in local communities? We began by feeding 12 kids at a local campus and now have delivered more than 50,000 weekend food kits to children in our local communities! That's 50,000 happy tummies that might otherwise not eat anything from Friday lunch until Monday breakfast! Can't make it to this event? That's ok, we've got another one coming up on March 9th at the Three Legged Goat in Pfluggerville from 5:30-6:30pm. Can't make that one either but still want to participate?
