Child Abuse Prevention Breakfast - Hilton Garden Inn Downtown - Sioux Falls, South Dakota April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The South Dakota Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment (CPCM) invites you to join us in commemorating this important month by raising awareness of how we can help our fellow South Dakotans know about, respond to, and prevent child maltreatment. Together we will build resilient children and families. You will learn how protective factors and adverse childhood experiences impact families and communities. Hear motivational stories of resilience and ways that you can contribute to purposeful prevention work—no matter your background or current sector. We ALL have a role to play in preventing child maltreatment and building a stronger, healthier, and more resilient South Dakota. Doors open at 6:45 a.m. Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. Program begins at 7:10 a.m. April 1 is National Wear Blue Day for Child Abuse Prevention Month. Wear blue to the breakfast to show your support for ending child abuse and neglect. We will post photos of breakfast attendees to CPCM media platforms following the breakfast. Keynote Speaker Nikki Eining, Outpatient Therapist, Avera Behavioral Health Nikki Eining is an Outpatient Therapist for Avera Behavioral Health in Brookings, SD and a licensed social worker who brings a diverse set of experiences and passions. She also works with the Resilient Communities: SD program created by CPCM. She has spent over 14 years working in the mental health field with children and families in office, school and community settings. She has professional experience in clinical mental health, education, research design, non-profit, program development and trauma-informed care practices. Nikki is very passionate about trauma-informed practices along with collaboration to help decrease barriers for youth and families in Brookings County. Sponsorships A table sponsorship is $1,000 and includes admission to the breakfast for eight of your guests, your logo in the program and on the event website, your logo in any printed materials. A Premier Sponsorship is $10,000 and includes admission to the breakfast for eight of your guests, your logo in the program and on the event website, your logo in any printed materials and acknowledgement of your support of the Breakfast.
