The Fred & Beverly Dukes Concert Series presents on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at 4 p.m., the Jay Smith Jazz Group! Called a "fixture in the Central Valley" (NPR), Jay Smith has had a wide variety of talent flow through his band. From jazz fusion to pop, the band has channeled a wide spectrum of musical genres to stay working and relevant. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this FREE concert at First Congregational Church of Bakersfield on Sunday, February 27th @ 4 pm! Donations will be accepted The Dukes' Concert Series is in honor of Fred and Beverly Dukes, Bakersfield philanthropists who gave generously to students at CSUB and Bakersfield College through scholarships. They also served their churches, College Heights Congregational and First Congregational in multiple varied ways. Their church endowment included the funding of this concert series which consists of five musical events every year to be enjoyed without charge to music lovers in the Bakersfield Community.
