Please join us for an outdoor experience of painting, sipping and snacking as we celebrate 50 years of literacy for kids! RifSoCal is delighted and excited to invite you to our 50th Anniversary Celebration. We will have Wine & Design painting, food, deserts, drinks, and a silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to RIFSoCal. Over our history, we have provided 1.7 million children with 5.3 million new books to read for fun and pleasure, growing their literacy skills and home libraries at the same time. Together, we are creating our Readers for Tomorrow! It would be our honor to celebrate this amazing milestone with you. RIFSoCal’s mission is to promote literacy and motivate children to read by providing new books to create home libraries for underserved children in Southern California.  As of our 50th anniversary this year, we have served 1.7M children and provided them with more than 5.3M books.  RIFSoCal’s goal is to help raise the dollars needed to build the home libraries of PreK – 8th-grade children. As Greater Los Angeles and Orange County’s largest childhood literacy organization, RIFSoCal works every day to help children discover the magic of reading for fun and pleasure.  We do this by putting brand-new, free books of choice directly into the hands, homes, and hearts of eager children from economically disadvantaged schools, Head Start sites, and community service programs.  Letting a child choose a new book to call their very own – often for the first time – is one of the simplest yet most powerful tools to support our children’s ability to succeed in school and in life.
