Join us as we take a journey though African American Music from the 50s, 60s,70s,80s,90s - till now. It's the music that defined generations, inspired movements, changed history, and brings us all together! Join the American Jazz Museum at the historic Gem Theater for a Black History Tribute Concert: Journey Through Black Music. You will hear iconic selections from Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Blues, and contemporary sounds as we explore an evolution of music in the black community. Enjoy favorites from Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, Whitney Houston...and many more! Seating is general admission on a first-come-first-serve basis. Your ticket includes admission to the American Jazz Museum and The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure exhibit, prior to the show.
