THE ROLE: The Safety Officer will act as a liaison between business and roof laborers to ensure crews are safe and proper procedures are being followed on job sites. A solid candidate will be able to identify potential hazards and will encourage and implement a safe work environment on a regular basis. Our ideal candidate is a team player with attention to detail who will use employees' mistakes as training opportunities. WHAT WE OFFER YOU: · Base wages of $25-$30 per hour plus safety incentives · Full benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(K), etc · Vacation + Paid Sick Time · Stability of working in an essential and recession-proof industry · iPhone, iPad, and company vehicle provided KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Review physical, biological, and chemical workplace hazards · Conduct weekly safety meetings · Investigate health-and-safety-related complaints · Inspect workplaces to ensure that equipment, materials, and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees or the general public · Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies · Provide consultation and deliver training programs to construction industry employers and employees on issues of workplace safety and (depending on the project) environmental protection · COVID-19 protocol implementation REQUIREMENTS: · Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred · Construction/Roofing experience · Experience with LNI/OSHA a plus, specifically with Washington State labor and safety laws If you feel confident you meet these qualifications, we invite you to apply using the link below.
