ISO a small/young kitten or cat

My boyfriend and I are in search of a female kitten or young cat. I had just put my 18 yr old dog down last Friday. And our other dog is depressed and moping around a bit. She was around our other dog for 10 years. She absolutely loves cats and always eagerly greets them with kisses. We also have a house just made for a cat, with a hole in the bathroom door and another that goes into the linen closet for potty necessities. We are also looking for something that isn't going to have a huge rehoming fee "in order to ensure that they are taken care of" I feel taking care of the kitty would be to spend that money on the pet! Thank you!
