Description
Take a look at your website through the eyes of a visitor and make instant improvements. How often do you visit your website wearing the glasses of a stranger to your organization? Can they find what they are looking for, do they know how to reach you, if they have an amazing experience, is it easy for them to give? Our websites are just one of our outreach tools for our organizations and they can either be filled with great information or just lots of distractions. In this session, we're not going to bore or confuse you with terms like SEO and ROI but we are going to take a look at some real examples of websites that rock it and we'll also facilitate a healthy discussion about your own site and some easy things you can do to improve how people see your organization when they come across it. This session is open to any nonprofit providing services in Frederick, MD. This is planned as an in person event so space is limited. Whitney Hahn loves asking the hard questions that lead to the big answers. She is the Insight Instigator at provokebetter.com. While consulting with small businesses to improve strategic planning, messaging, and execution, Whitney found that marketing was often a key indicator of the health of other systems. Her clients now use her pattern-matching superpower to help them solve business development, employee engagement, marketplace positioning, and product offering problems. Whitney serves on the Advisory Board for techfrederick.org, is an advisor for FITCI startup companies, is a council member for Leadership Frederick County, and has a Master of Science degree in Business Management and Leadership. She is a Certified “Business Made Simple” Coach, a StoryBrand Certified Guide, and her mother would like you to know that she is also kind to animals and fun to travel with. To sum up, websites aren't a repository for #alltheinformation and a few quick changes can make them easier to navigate and more effective as an outreach tool for your nonprofit. The mission of Federated Charities is to provide compassionate community services and offer education and resources which support nonprofits in a collaborative environment so they can better serve their local clients. We recognize that shared opportunities lead to greater expertise and maximize the resources of new and established nonprofit programs. We offer consultation, training, rental space and fiscal sponsorship to individuals and organizations in support of their outreach in our community. www.federatedcharities.org
