PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Institute Library's Sutton Room will transform into a teen coffeehouse art and music center next week as part of the Peabody Veterans Memorial Student Art Show & Acoustic Coffeehouse Showcase.
The event is set for Feb. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
"This evening will celebrate the hard work and creations of the fall semester Peabody High art and music students, and will feature the work of over 300 students, as well as live musical performances in the historic Sutton Room," Peabody Institute Library Director Cate Merlin said.
Light refreshments will be served from the Peabody High Culinary Arts Department students.
The Library Board of Trustees will also honor library founder and namesake George Peabody on what would have been his 227th birthday by celebrating his quote that education is "A debt due from the present to future generations."
