Looking for musical partner. Here is my deal. I am looking for a casual approach. And I think it would be better with two. Man or Woman. That person needs to sing. And I hope that they can play an instrument, keyboards, fiddle, guitar or mandolin prob, I am not interested in making money, and not trying to make a career out of this. But I DO WANT to make music that moves me and hopefully some of the people who might hear it. I am talking about doing interesting covers. In bars, open mikes or other small situations. Me: I play bass, acoustic and electric guitars pretty well. I sing well. I can harmonize well. I can play keys to some degree. I have rehearsal space. I have played all my life and been in many bands. Sometimes we made a living. I am past that tho. I like many types of music but a duet with no drummer can only really handle certain types of tunes. I have always loved: Smokey Robinson, Prince, Marvin Gaye, Sons of Champlin, Joni, Lowell George, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raiit, John Prine, Paul Carrack, Wilson Pickett, the Band, Bad Company, John Mayer, Otis Redding, Aretha, and many other soul artists. Some of these masters I would never try to cover. But some I can do justice to. Lately I have been listening to a lot of Jason Aldean, and something by him is a possibilty. I have been recording with a writing partner for the past couple years in our private studio. We have original works and covers on a reverb nation acct. If you want to hear this material let me know.
