Here are the top three stories in Charleston today: Nearly 80 Charleston businesses joined together to send a letter to the Charleston City Council in support of the Human Affairs and Racial Commission. The new commission would be a permanent commission meant to "promote equity, inclusion, and racial conciliation through presentations regarding all forms of institutional and community discrimination." The letter urged the Council to approve the creation of the commission without amendments. (WCBD News 2)Containers have fallen into the water near the North Charleston terminal. Crews are currently working on retrieving the four to five containers accidentally dropped into the water. According to the Port Authority, the containers were dropped during vessel operations and retrieval efforts are ongoing. (Live 5 News WCSC)The Charleston County Coroner's Officer announced that a missing 38-year-old woman has been identified as the body found along I-26. Fallon Ackerman has been a missing person since Jan. 26 and was last seen leaving her workplace. The North Charleston Police Department is currently investigating the cause of death but no trauma has been found on the body.
