The City of Des Moines has released its preliminary budgets for the upcoming fiscal year that includes $206,641,916 in the general fund and $212,434,138 for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). There will be opportunities to provide remarks and ask questions during a Feb. 15 listening post at the South Side Library – two additional listening posts are being coordinated and will be announced soon.
A public hearing about the new budget will be held before City Council during the regular meeting on March 7.
