EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — TD Bank on Newport Avenue in East Providence was robbed Tuesday morning, according to police. The robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. Police said the robber was wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt and passed a note to the bank teller demanding money. The robber stole several thousand dollars, police said. No weapon was involved, and no injuries were reported, police said. Police said they are still looking for suspects and following leads.
