Description

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police and Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to Interstate 393 for a crash on Wednesday. Around 9 a.m., state police dispatch sent troopers to I-393 near the Exit 15 E offramp of I-93 for a crash involving a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The first arriving state trooper told dispatch the vehicle somehow drove over a guardrail and down the embankment. A yield sign was knocked down during the crash. At 9:15 a.m., firefighters and EMTs arrived and checked on the driver who was OK and refused treatment. Another fire truck was requested to block part of the Exit 15E onramp during the incident. A tow truck came and attempted to pull the Jeep off the embankment onto I-393. Later, a state trooper told dispatch the vehicle was smoking and would have to be picked up and lifted above the guardrail. It is unknown at post time how the vehicle ended up on the embankment. NEWS 603 posted a video of the Jeep being towed back into the highway on Facebook. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
