Press release from the Chester County Library System: February 8, 2022 Please join us on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM for a live, virtual program The History of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This educational and engaging program is brought to you by the Great Plains Black History Museum, the Coatesville Area Juvenile Alliance, and the Coatesville Area Public Library. Our presenter, Dr. Eric Ewing, is the Executive Director of the Great Plains Black History Museum in Omaha, Nebraska. This event will be particularly interesting for our community since we have two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in our area – Cheyney University and Lincoln University. This is a free event and appropriate for high school students, their parents, and anyone interested in learning more about HBCUs.
