Students from area towns like Lemont, Homer Glen, Lockport, Bolingbrook and Romeoville are celebrating accomplishments throughout the semester, including making Dean's List at universities across the country. Submitted by Diane Eberle Matt Eberle of Bolingbrook earned Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester at Northern Illinois University. Submitted by Jeanne DiCostanzo Savanna DiCostanzo, of Bolingbrook, earned Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester at Aurora University. Submitted by Michele Phillips Cana Phillips, of Bolingbrook, was named to the Dean's list at Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. Submitted by Maria Velasquez-Gloeckle Keyana Gloeckle, of Bolingbrook, was named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is also a recipient for the 2021 CCIW Dave Wrath Fall Academic All-Conference Award. Submitted by Gina Marra Marco Marra, a Lockport Township High School graduate, was named to the Dean's List at University of Notre Dame for the fall 2021 semester. The following information was provided by Merit Pages News: Lea Bunch Earns Semester Honors at Edgewood College Lea Bunch of Romeoville has earned semester honors for the Fall 2021 semester at Edgewood College. Full time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average for the semester are eligible for this honor. Local Students Named To President's List at Miami University Kris Hackiewicz of Lemont, Kalysa Pampuch of Bolingbrook and Janelle Olegario of Lockport were named to the Miami University fall 2021-22 President's list. Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for the fall semester 2021-22 have been named to the President's list recognizing academic excellence. Hackiewicz is earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Premedical Studies. Pampuch is earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Spanish. Olegario, from Lockport, is earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Premedical Studies. Local Students Receive Degrees from Bradley University Local students were among 300 Bradley students who earned degrees during the Fall 2021 semester: Lindsey Sobczak of Homer Glen, BS in Biomedical Science Pre-Med; Nabil Nashed of Bolingbrook, BS in Accounting; Brittany Patel of Romeoville, BS in Computer Science; Lucas Czerwonka of Homer Glen, BS in Elementary Education ESL Endorsement; Cassidy Cronholm of Homer Glen, BS in Elementary Education ESL Endorsement; Maranda Wieczorek of Romeoville, BS in Elementary Education ESL Endorsement; and Melissa Tantum of Lockport, MA in Counseling Clinical Mental Health. Adia Robinson Butler named to Dean's List at Ithaca College Ithaca College student Adia Robinson Butler of Bolingbrook was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2021 semester. Fall 2021 Dean's List at Georgia State University To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State. Honored students from the area include: Shanna Bouier of Bolingbrook and KyRee Travis of Bolingbrook. Georgia Southern University announces Fall 2021 Dean's List Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,420 students for excellence in academics on the Fall 2021 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester. Local students recognized were: Patrycja Trefon of Lockport and Seth Yaeger of Lockport. UT Student, Maria Vidziunas, of Romeoville, Earned Dean's List Honors Maria Vidziunas, of Romeoville, earned dean's list honors at The University of Tampa for the Fall 2021 semester. Vidziunas is majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice BS. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list. Nadia Goich of Homer Glen named to the University of New Hampshire's Dean's List for the Fall 2021 Semester Nadia Goich of Homer Glen, has been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for earning Honors for the fall 2021 semester. Goich is majoring in Business Administration. Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors. Madison Reed of Bolingbrook Named to Dean's List at Frostburg State University Madison Reed, of Bolingbrook, has been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2021 semester. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. Augustana College's fall semester Dean's List Augustana College announced more than 1,000 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2021-22 fall semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term. Bryan Maida named to Trine University President's List Bryan Maida of Lockport, a Trine University student, was named to the President's List for the Fall 2021 term. Maida is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. To earn President's List honors, Trine University students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.750-4.000. Students named to University of Utah's Fall 2021 Dean's List Josh Rybialek of Bolingbrook, and Sage Ramos of Romeoville, were named to the University of Utah's fall 2021 Dean's List. More than 9,600 students were named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List at the U. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.
