WHERE: George Mason University TITLE: Custodial Technician COMPENSATION: $15.25/per hour + Benefits Monday-Friday 9pm-5:30am JOB SUMMARY Clean24Seven’s Campus Custodians may work in any location on the client’s premises. Under the direction of Clean24Seven’s Director of Facilities and/or Custodial Manager, these individuals clean George Mason University’s facilities and other areas within the university community. The general responsibilities of the position are listed below, but Clean24Seven may amend these duties. GENERAL RESPONSILITIES ● Cleans offices, rooms, dorms, classrooms, schools, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas requiring attention. ● Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space. ● Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings. ● Uses cleaning chemicals per manufacturer’s and Clean24Seven’s standards. ● Empties trash and garbage containers. ● Replenishes office supplies (as needed). ● Shampoos/cleans carpets or buff/polish floors using mechanical equipment. ● Drives a golf cart or other vehicles (as needed). ● Moves and organizes tables and chairs as directed. ● Immediately notifies supervisor regarding the need for major repairs and additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. ● Complies with all safety and risk management policies and procedures. ● Immediately reports all accidents and injuries to Clean24Seven. ● Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. ● Adheres to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) safety requirements when working. ● Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. ● Attends all training programs (classroom and virtual). ● Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ● High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience. DEMONSTRATED SKILLS ● Ability to learn and use established techniques for the efficient and Clean24Seven compliant completion of duties. ● Always presents to the public in a highly professional manner. Honesty and ethical behavior are fundamental requirements. ● Maintains a positive attitude. ● Communicates with professionalism and respect with all co-workers, vendors, supervisors, managers, customers and clients.
