CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County deputies have arrested a man for armed robbery after a break-in. On Monday, deputies arrested Christopher Acker, 37, of Oakwood, in connection with the armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 3. Acker is charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, robbery with a gun and first degree forced home invasion. Deputies responded to an address on Browns Bridge Road in the northeast area of the county regarding an armed robbery. The victims said a masked person, now known as Acker, entered their home and pointed a gun at them, demanding they open their safe. After opening the safe, Acker left the home. No one was injured during the incident. A preliminary investigation indicated the victims were targeted by Acker, who had knowledge of the home and contents inside the safe.
