Patio Installation Assistant Job Description Skyline Sunrooms and Patio Covers is a San Diego County based Company that builds aluminum shade structures and patio room enclosures. This is a general construction labor job that requires working in all outdoor, seasonal weather conditions. We are looking to hire and train dependable installation assistants to add to our team. You will learn a new trade and work for a company that is comprised of friendly people that you will enjoy working with. Your Responsibilities will include: Assisting lead installer/supervisor on residential job sites to install aluminum shade products. Handling of aluminum materials, using hand and power tools and general operation of equipment. Working on ladders with your hands above your head, as well as general construction labor including occasional digging, carrying and handling building materials and operation of hand held power tools. Hours will vary based on the scope of the installation and travel time (typically 6-8 hours per day). All jobs are located within San Diego County borders. Required Skills and Abilities will include: Must be able to take direction from leadership team. All new employees will work and be trained on the job by our expert Lead Installers. Must have a clean record and will be subject to criminal background check and drug testing. Requires good communication skills and customer service skills with residential homeowner customers. Must have reasonable math skills, able to read a tape measure and work with fractions. Ability to display a professional and courteous attitude with co-workers and handle duties in a timely manner. General understanding of construction language, materials and methods. Availability to work M-F starting at 7:00 A.M. start at El Cajon location. Dependability and good work ethic. Hires Needed: 2 hires Expected Hiring Date: Immediately Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour, upon hire. After 90 day probationary period, hourly rate increases to $18.00 per hour
