Description
Ice Dye/Tie Dye a Heart T Shirt for Valentines Day at an eclectic East Atlanta urban homestead and art garden.
Thursday, February 10, 6-8 pm
About this event
Learn to tie dye a heart using an ice dye technique! This workshop will teach the ice dying process from start to finish AND the fold to make a tie dye heart. Ice dying uses powdered dye processed with ice (instead of mixing with water) to "split" the color into its component parts to create vibrant complex or dreamy watercolor designs.
BYOB, but light refreshments will be provided along with your shirt and all your supplies. Your shirt will need to batch for 24 hours - you will leave with clear instructions for rinsing and washing OR the option to let us do the dirty work and you can pick it up anytime after Saturday morning.
The workshop will be led by Rebecca of Rudabecca Dyeworks from her East Atlanta Village home studio at the Rudabecca urban homestead and art garden.
The space will be well ventilated, but masks are required when inside the studio (and, honestly, you want to wear a mask when you're working with dye powder anyway!)
Beginners welcome - no experience necessary.
$40-$50
