Looking for Volunteers to help with photography awards program

In 2020 Daniel Stewart was killed in Forest Grove, Ore. in a traffic accident. Dan had two weeks earlier made a journey across the country of some 5,000 miles with the goal of resettling in Portland. Along the way he took many spectacular nature photographs. He was an aspiring professional photographer, self taught, recently organized his own company and created a book of motorcycle photographs. His untimely death was a deeply felt tragedy. I am looking to organize a small group of volunteers in the Portland, Ore. area to help with a photography award in Dan's name. We have already organized the program in Albany, NY and this year awarded $1,000 to three aspiring early career photographers (One award of $500 and two lesser awards). We wanted to do this program in Dan's original area of Albany, NY and also in Portland. Unfortunately we had no applicants from Portland. So I am appealing to you readers. Step up and volunteer to help organize an award program for next year! We will cut the checks - we just need to find aspiring early career photographers to apply. We did have a judging and evaluation process. Our original intent was to give out one award of $500 in Albany, NY and one in Portland, Ore.
