E-Green Recycling Management is a leading recycler of electronics (computers, printers, displays, TV’s, etc). We are an R2 certified electronics recycler that works with many of the top manufacturers, and have many towns/municipalities, federal government entities, financial institutions, banks, and retailers as customers. We operate out of a 56,000 sq ft warehouse in Holtsville, NY. We are currently looking for someone that possesses a knowledge of computer hardware and is able/willing to perform functions within a warehouse environment. Some of the job functions are: • Check, sort & triage incoming inventory for resale / reuse opportunities • Test products as required through proper testing procedures including memory, hard drives, computers, laptops & peripherals. • Perform data destruction & wiping of data-bearing devices, erasing sensitive data from all electronics. Operate drive shredding machine as required. • Through an understanding of technology, identify components that may have value to maximize the company's return on sales • Light disassembly of devices • Flex into other jobs roles from time-to-time as production demand dictates • Accurately enter data into spreadsheets including serial numbers, make & models Skills needed: • Skill with computer repair, testing or troubleshooting • Team Player with good interpersonal skills • “Can do” attitude • Flexible/Adaptable to changing priorities • A basic proficiency with MS Excel and Word • Ability to learn the company’s operating system • Ability to perform physical work including lifting and standing • Willingness to work in a warehouse environment This is a full-time permanent position with a base pay rate of $20/hr. Overtime is included in the regular schedule & will be paid at 1.5 times the base rate. Eligible to participate in the company subsidized medical & dental plan after 60 days.
