Donahue & Sons has been a leader in the Operations & Maintenance of Renewable Energy facilities and municipalities in the Northeast since 2010. We are family owned and operated and located in Barre, Massachusetts. Our team is looking for one candidate to fill the small and large engine mechanic position for the 2022 season. This individual must perform operations and daily maintenance of a variety of equipment each week. The employee holding this job must perform the work activities in a correct, accurate and timely fashion. Typical hours will run 5pm to 11pm (dependent on the day) Starting Date: Urgently Hiring We Offer -Competitive Pay -Tuition Reimbursement -Overtime -Bonuses -Internal Advancements -401k Matching -Health Insurance -Paid Business Travel -Holiday Pay (After one year of employment) Requirements: Multiple years of experience with small and large engine equipment including but not limited to Standing and sitting zero turn mowers Stihl / Redmax commercial grade weed whackers Compact and light duty tractors Brush Hog / Mower / Snow blower / plow attachments Diesel & Gas Trucks Open and enclosed trailers Excavators, minis, Skid steers Other generalized landscaping equipment Ability to work 2nd shift Must be available between the hours of 5pm to 11pm Late afternoon and nights required Must be available on some weekends 30 to 40 hours per week (Varies per week) Ability to work independently and in a team environment Truck & Equipment maintenance tracking Reliable transportation to and from work Drivers License Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems Organizational skills Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary Maintain record of service, repairs and scheduled maintenance Complete 24 hour check-ins and machine checklists Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed Perform preventative maintenance procedures Set up and operate standard machine tools Contributes to the continuous improvement and development of maintenance practices and procedures Welding Experience Preferred Qualifications (But not Required) Certified Diesel Mechanic Physical demands: - Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, and general landscaping equipment - Be able to lift 50lbs or more - Stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend-over for up to 10 hours per day - Ability to handle small and large equipment - Noise level is typically moderate but can be severe at times - exposure to outside weather conditions - Must observe and comply with all safety policy and procedures - Demonstrate safe, productive job performance THIS IS A PARTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS LIST.
