Greens Staff member (groundskeeping) We are looking for to find motivated persons to fill two year-round, and one seasonal position in our groundskeeping department who meet the following qualifications. Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent preferred. Ability to safely operate motor vehicles, and motorized equipment. Must be able to pass a drug test. Able to effectively follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in golf course maintenance work, and landscape construction preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Job description • Operate various pieces of machinery including but not limited to: Turf mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and handheld power equipment; maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; clean equipment after operation, and perform preventative maintenance as directed. • Mow greens, aprons, tees, fairways, and roughs • Rake, edge, and otherwise maintain sand bunkers • Water, seed, and fertilize golf course; grade and prepare soil planting beds; lay sod; plant vegetative material; trim trees and shrubbery; and cultivate flowers and shrubs as directed. • Assist in golf course construction and clean up projects as directed. Operate equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. • Repair and replace pipe on irrigation system; excavate and backfill ditches and trenches • Perform minor asphalt repair projects using hand tools and plate compactor • Change cups and tee markers; fill divots • Return all equipment to designated locations in maintenance facility, clean maintenance facility This position reports directly to the golf superintendent Pay starts at $15/hour DOE Must be able to pass a drug test and be immunized for covid-19
