Description
If you purchased a Chesapeake puppy from a breeder in Nampa, born 12/5/2021, you need to know that the puppy may have two different kinds of parasitic diseases that are transmissable to other animals and also to humans, especially children. We bought a puppy and within 36 hours she was very ill. Lab reports show two diseases, both of which have a 7-10 day incubation period. Since we have only had our puppy four days, she came home with them.
Further, the breeder did not tell us until after the fact, but he did the first shot vaccinations himself and they were done at FOUR weeks instead of six. Our vet says that the mother's immunity from nursing would block the effectiveness of the shots at that age. So if you have one of these puppies, it is essentially unprotected from disease, especially parvo, and needs shots right away.
I encouraged the young man who is the breeder to contact the other parties who purchased puppies ahead of us, but I am pretty sure he will not do it. Please feel free to contact me if you want more details.
