NW Employment is partnered with an Oregon Based Logging Equipment Manufacturer, and we are looking for a new team member! The opening is for our Eugene location, and the job is to work in the rigging shop. Those that work well with their hands, can do basic math, read drawings, and use critical thinking skills will do well. The job also requires physical fitness, and the level of physical activity will vary day by day. But rest assured, the job will keep you busy! In a typical day, you will build wire rope slings, chain slings, inspect and test used rigging, operate a forklift, and help keep the shop clean! Those with prior, hands-on experience with rigging will find this job especially interesting (i.e., loggers, steel erectors, tower workers, excavation workers, mill wrights, etc.). CDL Drivers encouraged to apply as well, as we do regular deliveries in our flatbed spool trucks. But please understand, this is not a full-time driving position. You must have reliable transportation, a driver's license and be willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
