Farming Job Posting: 4 acre diversified veggie operation in Moscow, ID. Our farm cultivates 1 intensively grown acre of vegetables and flowers. Our practices are organic and low-till. We are a family farm operated by two owners and we both work full time on the farm. We have a small CSA, attend the Moscow Farmers Market, operate a farm store on site, and sell wholesale to local restaurants and the Co-op. We are looking for part time crew members enthusiastic about gardening and local food! Seeking 1-2 Part Time crew members for 2022: Part Time Field Crew: Tasks include harvesting, weeding, seeding microgreens, processing, propagation, irrigation work, transplanting, some possible BCS walk behind tractor work, construction, and farmers market sales. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Compensation $13-$15 per hour, and dependent on experience. Dates: First week May through mid October No on farm housing, Seasons employment 24-32 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday. Days are flexible based on availability, but must be able to work all day for Friday market harvest, and some Saturday markets. (*Farm season schedule is typically 3 days per week at the beginning and end of the season, with more hours and 4 days in the height of the summer and fall. Typical day 8 hours, starting at 7.30am) *Prior experience in farming is helpful, but not required. Part Time Crew Member for Chicken Operation: Tasks include moving mobile chicken coops, collecting and washing eggs, feeding, watering, monitoring for health and well being. This is a stipended position at $600/mo. (a flat monthly rate) and requires 1-3 hours per day on average, 5 days per week Tuesday-Saturday.
