The successful candidate will possess the following skills: • Anticipate issues before they arise • Handle issues in a professional, efficient manner • Possess critical thinking skills • Demonstrate strong listening skills • Works hard to ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring adequate stock levels • Willingness to accept and take ownership of issues • Ability to multi-task • Ability to use software program to edit and update customer invoices. • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to write and speak English clearly. • Requires a minimum of supervision and can prioritize multiple tasks. • An approach to work that is eager, positive and solution oriented. What you'll do: • Receive, reconcile, and rotate daily shipments from suppliers • Organize inventory in preparation for fulfillment • Organize, rotate, and secure frozen inventory. • Provide Weekly Reporting on Inventory Counts. • Ensure fresh and frozen product stock is adequate and can meet customer needs. • Oversee delivery truck drivers and insure proper loading. • Maintain a clean and safe work area, as well as clean and safe work practices always. • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Work in a cold storage facility environment (ranging from 0° (freezer) to 40 degrees Fahrenheit) for intermittent periods. Cold gear provided. • Arrive early at 4:30 am Tuesday and Wednesday mornings to pack delivery orders. Education and Experience: • A high school diploma or equivalent • Basic math and computer skills • Ability to work independently or within a group/team atmosphere • Good organizational and time management skills Physical Requirements: • Lifting: Various product case weights up to 50 lbs. • Carrying: (30-50 lbs.) frequently, distance 20 yards • Pushing/Pulling: Over 100 lbs. without assistance occasionally THIS FULL TIME POSITION INCLUDES: October Kitchen is an equal opportunity employer.
