Sorry, but abuse & nonconsensual behavior that happened in the ‘past’ does not excuse it. I actually know past & current victims of the bassist. He is a sick human being & manipulating the victims’ stories to make himself the victim. If you support this band you are actively supporting abuse & even worse behavior. Please get YOUR facts straight & quit supporting violence towards women. Re: Do not support this band (Hilltop) Thanks for the heads up! Its always good to be on the lookout for the community, but please, please make sure your information is researched and up to date. Here's the updated story if you're new to it. SERPENTFOOT just moved into town, so this all may seem like new news, but the post accusing the bassist of emotional abuse was from many years ago. It turned out to be full of misinformation, including the false claim that there were multiple allegations. It appears that nobody else was speaking out against him. The band looked into it to it extensively. In fact, a good number of the bassists female friends including past/current romantic partners have spoken up for him. The guy is certainly not an "active abuser" despite his unfortunate story with the woman who made the post long ago, and the band is extremely supportive of survivors. I love this band and its sad to see people continue to recycle old rumors on the internet. Get to know this band, and go see a show. They rock and I'm so stoked they came to Tacoma!!
