Hiring Immediately - $15/hr, Full-time & Part-time Quality Control Staff Needed We’re urgently hiring Quality Control staff to confirm the accuracy of petitions we are gathering to put an important initiative on the ballot in 2022! Our Quality Control team reviews signatures that petition gatherers collect to confirm that those signers are registered Oregon voters. Working from our office, Quality Control staff searches for each person in a database of registered Oregon voters. This work is critical for us to reach our goal and get this initiative on the ballot this November! The Hold Politicians Accountable initiative (IP14) aims to prevent political gridlock caused by lawmakers not showing up for votes. Over the past three years, this gridlock has shut down the government and stopped progress addressing climate change, the housing crisis, and disaster relief. IP14 will create real consequences for politicians by barring anyone with 10 unexcused absences from running for reelection the following term. We know people are on our side: Recent polls show that 84% of voters support this measure. However, we need to deliver 150,000 signatures from Oregon voters to the Secretary of State’s office before the end of June. Quality Control Staff Responsibilities ($15/hr): - Diligently cross reference the signatures gathered to ensure that signers are registered OR voters, that signatures are legible, and that the petition form was filled out correctly -Strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines - Participate in staff trainings The ideal candidate: - Being detail oriented. As a Petitioner Support Staff you will be validating forms for accuracy - Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy - Hard worker who will stay motivated and work diligently - Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community Stay Safe! We have strict health and safety protocols and we provide all of the training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you will need. All staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Locations: Portland & Eugene, OR We are hiring immediately, all positions are through the end of the campaign May, 2022. We offer a flexible schedule with shifts from 11:00am - 5:30pm Thursday- Monday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time. Pay: $15/hr for quality control staff.
