We all know Hendrix reinvented the guitar but what makes him timeless are the songs. Saxtrix is a guitarless, original tribute band featuring saxophones, bass, and (drum roll please..........) well we don’t have one yet. One of the reasons we need a drummer! Ideally our drummer would have jazz chops, ability to rock out or lay back, swing, and yes, background vocals are a huge plus. Ability to read charts is also a plus but not a deal breaker. This is an original project so some songs are reimagined while others are straight up Hendrix. Obviously a love of Hendrix is needed but not required. Good music is good music and Hendrix gave us lots to work and expand with. Interested? Want more info? Think this is a terrible idea? You know what to do...
