Scrap metal company are looking the Shear Machine Operator. This is a position for an individual who possesses basic mechanical aptitude and has experience working in an industrial environment. Responsibilities : Safely operate shop equipment to cut metal materials using hydraulic shears and saws, and other power tools, follow company safety policies Operate forklifts, other lift equipment and /or cranes to move material as required Properly setup equipment using appropriate tools and perform operator-level maintenance Perform blade changes on hydraulic shear machine Inspect shear machine prior use Maintain a high attention to safety, quality, and productivity in the fabrication area Observe safety procedures, assure self and others safety and report any safety issues Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, keep housekeeping standards in the work area, scrap removal, and other production-related jobs. Job Requirements: Minimum of 1-year experience in an industrial environment Hydraulic Shear Machine experience (preferred) Able to lift material weighing up to 50 pounds Forklift experience Familiar with power tools Ability to read measurements accurately Ability to work independently in a production oriented environment Ability to use PC, MS Excel, Word Strong attention to detail and accuracy Must be able to work overtime as required
