**URGENT!!VERY STRESSED IN SHELTER AND SET TO BE PUT DOWN (Feb. 11th 8 am) Adopter needed ASAP! Read entire post. Hi, I'm Mariah (Compatibility with dogs unknown) I am set to be euthanized 2/11, 8 am. I am STRESSED from being confined in a small kennel for long periods of time day after day; and as a result, I'm hurting myself (See details below.). It's just not humane to keep me here. Who can save my life? I don't want to die!! I'm a 2-year-old, spayed, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier (53lbs.) How sad is this?. I was found treading water in a canal! Fortunately, I was saved just in time but I almost drowned to death! Did I slip and fall in? Did some mean person push me in? I wish I could tell you.....But, what I can tell you what my shelter notes say: I am a snuggle-bug! I am friendly, love attention and am very playful. I love doggie pets, take treats gently, and walk well on-leash. I just can't handle being in my kennel any longer and get upset and hit the front of my kennel when dogs pass by or when they are barking. I now have multiple lacerations to the top of my muzzle. Staff have tried 5 different kennel locations to help me, nothing has worked I Just need out of here ASAP!! I haven't had a dog-to-dog evaluation at the shelter; so, if you have dogs in your home, you will need the ability to separate us initially and gradually introduce. It is recommended that my adopter or foster has experience with dogs and that I meet the entire family before going home. I will need time to de-stress (go on walks and have time to unwind).
