Our dad is missing

Our dad, Bob Sloan who lives on N. Hetzel Avenue in Mammoth, AZ is missing. The last time I talked to him, for sure, was before 9 a.m. yesterday. I may have also had some conversation with him, through Mom, around 11:30 a.m. I can't remember, for sure. At any rate, he said he was going to go to a friend's house later, but when the f riend was contacted after Dad was gone for hours, he said he had not seen him all day. He is driving a 4 door dark green Chevy Trailblazer truck. He may have gone off into a desert area as he likes to look for gold. We do not know of any exact spot. If you happen to be out in the desert and spot a likely truck, please take the time to look around a bit as he has problems with his legs and if he fell he might not be able to get back up. He is over 80 years old. No silver alert was issued as he has no documented mental health /memory issues. But, because of his legs, he is in a great deal of danger of being stuck somewhere he can't get out of. Especially as he almost certainly did not take his cell phone with him. The Mammoth Police have been informed and are the best people to contact with any information. It is their phone number that I am including with this message.
