GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — All lanes of I-85 in Gwinnett County have reopened after a multiple-hour shutdown due to a fatal pedestrian crash Thursday, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. Police sent out a traffic alert soon before 6 a.m. Thursday saying southbound lanes of I-85 were closed at Boggs Road because of a pedestrian fatality. Only the HOV lane was open at the time. Police had to push traffic to the southbound access road temporarily. Then, at 7:40 a.m., police announced that all lanes were reopened. Around 8 a.m., traffic was still going slowly, Fox5 reported, and police were still on the scene investigating.
