Looking for Metal worker welder for bar stools

I just got these bar stools which I love but they feel uncomfortably high. The seat is actually standard 30 inch bar stool height but they feel high so I’m wondering if it’s possible to just chop off about 5 inches off the bottom to make them more counter height. I know I would loose the curve at the bottom but I’m ok with that as long as you are confident that you can make it clean. Take a look at the pictures and let me know if you think it is possible and what it would cost. I am on a budget so if it’s super expensive I’d probably just live with the height or sell the stools. But I’m hoping it’s a simple job and not too much (I could be totally wrong though, so honesty is fine).
