A new 2-part event, carrying on the tradition of the 20 year WCAB Irish Wake! Join us for a new rendition of the WCAB Irish Wake! This 20+ year tradition is evolving and we think you will love it! Part One: Join us at Little Fat Gretchen's form 3-6pm for a Traditional Irish Music Session with our beloved, ever-reclusive but oh so wonderful Calathumpians! Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear them play! The Cafe is serving up Irish fare including corned beef and cabbage. The Waupaca Local Live radio show will be on hand to record the musicians, and we will have the Honor Roll book for you to add your loved ones who have passed in the last year. There is no entry fee at Little Fat Gretchen's. Part Two: Then venture on down to the Waupaca Danes Hall for an Irish Ceili (which is an Irish gathering with music and dance) complete with the ever-popular Flip O the Coin, playing Old Time and Irish music. The guys will call out the dance moves so be prepared to dance! WCAB will also be launching the 2022 Community Art Project, and you can be the first to participate. Bring your creativity along with your dancing shoes! Danes Hall has a full bar, and will be our co-host for this new Irish Wake tradition!
