Description
We need to find a new home for our 1 1/2 year old dog, named Morgan. Do you know anyone who has a fenced yard or lives in the middle of nowhere and has no kids, no other pets, and previous dog training experience?
When she's sweet, she's oh so sweet; but she has fear aggression problems that are unpredictable. She hasn't bitten anyone but behaves like she'll rip your face off. We've consulted with professionals and done a ton of research over the last year and a half and have determined that Morgan was born with this type of fear aggression that it's virtually impossible to eliminate. She was probably a street dog that, when night fell, she would curl up in what she determined to be a safe place. If anyone came near her she would defend the space. She also guards resources, which is why she absolutely cannot be in a home with children or other pets. She needs access to her crate, which is her safe spot.
The adoption agency said that she was a lab mix and was non-aggressive. There's no lab in her! We think she's a Hound/German Short-Haired Pointer mix. We don't think that they are ethical and won't return Morgan to the adoption agency in fear that she may end up being abused. We love this dog. She has been patiently and lovingly cared for by us and any potential adopter will have to go through a vetting process.
Morgan just had her annual physical and is up to date on all shots. Do you know anyone who can give her a good home? Please only contact us with serious inquiries and we thank you not to admonish us or refute our assessment of the situation. We are trying hard to get the best outcome for Morgan! Note, we live in MA but are posting in VT, NH, & ME to cast a wider net.
