Calling all lovers and single flyers alike — get your drink on at our Valentine’s Day cocktail boot camp! The lowdown: Stuck without a suitable answer to annoying queries re your Valentine’s Day plans? Tired of throwing money away on overpriced food and drinks while crammed next to strangers at restaurants and bars profiting off the hype? Then come to our intimate Cocktail Boot Camp for a night you won‘t forget any time soon (especially if you end up meeting that special someone). The session starts off with a primer on the core formulas, tools, and techniques essential to making great cocktails. Next you will learn how to create complex, signature ”love themed” drinks sourced from the menus of legendary cocktail bars in Brisbane, London, Mardrid, New York, Paris, San Francisco, and Tokyo. Ideal for singles and friends alike, this class is led by licensed mixologists and bartenders who have notched up awards and produced widely celebrated drinks programs at Apotheke, Bourbon & Branch, Death & Co, Employees Only, Gibson, Isinohana, PS40, Varnish and The Violet Hour. Each ticket includes at least 7 cocktails, small bites, and personal instruction. A portion of the proceeds are donated to capital area partners who strive to provide equitable access to food and opportunity to people struggling with hunger and food insecurity in our region. The fine print: Proof of COVID vaccination will be required. 21+ only. Please arrive 20 minutes early to get checked in, mingle with others, welcome cocktail in hand.
