Description

Movement class designed for individuals with Parkinson's Disease and their spouses. Dance forms taught are based on the group's interests. These classes are meant to get you moving in new ways in a safe creative environment. There is increasing research showing the benefits of dance and creative movement for the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. This class is taught by Chelsea, a dancer and physical therapist. Participants are encouraged to bring their spouse, partner, or caregiver to the class. The dance forms incorporated into class may include ballroom styles, modern dance, jazz, or tap depending on the interests of the current group. All mobility levels are welcome and no prior dance experience is required.
