Discover the benefits of snowshoeing and receive a $10 gift certificate towards the purchase of a new book at the River's End Book Store! Exploration and Education merge on the Oswego Canal during an adventurous guide-led snowshoeing experience in one of Oswego’s most unique, historic and natural environments. The serene sights and sounds of icy, flowing water coupled with the sites and sounds of the city, makes this snowshoeing trek a truly unique experience. In support of the On the Canals initiative, Oswego Expeditions is partnering with the NYS Canal Corporation and the River's End Book Store to create a free opportunity for individuals to experience recreational activities along the Historic Canalway Corridor within the Port City of Oswego. At the close of each snowshoeing excursion, participants will receive a $10 gift certificate to the River's End Bookstore. This is a family friendly event recommended for children ages 8 and up. Treks start and finish at OE headquarters located at 3 Basin Street in the Port of Oswego’s Marina scheduled for 11am, 1:30pm and 4pm, Saturdays & Sundays February 5th thru February 20th.
