Healthy Fontana is teaming with Master Gardeners to host FREE workshops at the Central City Park Community Garden.
Healthy Fontana is excited to work with the Master Gardeners of San Bernardino County to host a series of FREE educational workshops in the City's Community Garden. Workshops will cover a variety of topics including how to start a garden from seed, vermicomposting, how to harvest and save seeds, and how to prepare for winter gardening. All workshops will include an engaging activity with materials and supplies as well as refreshments. FREE FUN for all ages.
The first workshop will be held on Saturday, March 5th and will cover how to start a garden from seed.
This program is funded in part by a community grant received from Kaiser Permanente whose social mission is to help eliminate health disparities and build healthier communities.
Healthy Fontana was launched in January 2004 as a program that promotes healthier lifestyles by educating and encouraging the community to improve their quality of life.
