Come ride an e-bike on Albuquerque’s paved & protected Bosque Trail all along the Rio Grande! Come ride an e-bike (yep, they’re electric) on Albuquerque’s paved & protected Bosque Trail all along the Rio Grande followed by a friendly & leisurely lunch at one of our city’s most beautiful & festive outdoor gathering spots – Bike-in Coffee on The Old Town Farm. When: March 12, 2022 @ 11am-2pm $15 per person, paid directly to Free-To-Roam eBiking LLC (Please see ticket information below- no amount will be paid through Eventbrite, you will need to access Free-To-Roam website link below) Meet at Reginald Chavez Elementary School, Just west of Old Town 2700 Mountain Rd NW • ABQ, NM 87104 Park & meet up just west of Old Town on Mountain Road. There you’ll get oriented with the perfect e-bike & helmet for your size and riding style. Then we’ll ride a short distance to the Bosque Trailhead. Safe, Fun & Very Doable for ALL Riders! (Please keep in mind this is an age 18+ event) It's a smooth, safe and sweet ride for riders wishing to feel the support and thrill of the electric boost as you pedal. Free-to-Roam eBiking’s RideGuides will be ready to accommodate WomenWhoExplore riders of all abilities, experience and confidence levels. We’ll ride both North and South along the 16mile trail in smaller groups based on each individual’s riding style & preference. Lunch at Bike-in Coffee at Old Town Farm! (Lunch not included in $15 fee) Some groups may be interested in riding along the dirt paths within the Bosque and dipping toes in the water before we all stop at Bike-in Coffee for a delicious lunch, hearty conversation and live jazz under the big beautiful trees or in the sun on the wide open Old Town Farm. At 2pm, you're welcome to either ride back with our Ride Guides to your parked car (just a few minutes away), or stick around for awhile longer and walk back whenever you're good and ready while we get your ebike packed up for the day. Event Guidelines (for Covid): By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include: Practice social distancing Carry a personal hygiene kit (mask and hand sanitizer) and have it available during the event Refrain from sharing transportation, gear, food or close spaces with others outside of your household Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. Post-event; anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador [email protected] and Women Who Explore at [email protected]. What to bring (please dress according to weather): -A light backpack to carry: • A supply of water for the day (water bottle vs water bladder). • Plan to either purchase meal at Bike-In Coffee (cash or credit card) or pack your own snacks/a light meal. • Dress warm & in layers. Consider wearing a base layer & be prepared to shed layers (another reason why a backpack may be useful) • Warm gloves & hat • Waterproof or windproof top layer • Shoes for bike riding • Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional) Liability Waiver: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event. If you reserve a spot and cannot attend, please cancel as soon as possible. We ask that you try to cancel at least one week prior to the day of the event. This allows for other women who want to join us to be able to attend in your place. If you are canceling, please let ambassador [email protected] know in advance. We do keep track of no-shows and late cancels for all of our group meetups. A late cancel would be any cancellation within 48 hours of the start of the event. If you have more than two no-shows or late cancels, future registrations for events may be automatically cancelled on your behalf at the discretion of Women Who Explore.
