Join us for a night celebrating the launch of Messy Misfits Club: a zine celebrating all things queer! We are The Messy Misfits Club, a queer zine based in Chicago. Our main goal is to share stories of queerness, being in love, being out of love, breakups, even revenge stories on your ex. We know some of these topics are taboo, but that’s what we’re all about. We support and amplify all narratives— LGBTQ+ identity, racial or ethnic background, gender identity, religious affiliation, and so much more. Edition 1 of the Messy Misfits Club launches at The Martin on February 18th! Join us for a night of celebration, community, performance and of course to get your hands on the zine! Select your entry choice at checkout: either simply for entry or add on a digital or physical copy of the zine and we'll have it here waiting for you! Entry proceeds go back to The Martin, a queer artist-first space while zine fees go directly back to producing the next edition. Plan on joining us afterwards for a drink at Dorothy, our basement cocktail lounge (for guests 21+). Any guests under 21 can transition to Split-Rail or other great spots in the neighborhood to keep the connection going. Doors are at 6:30pm with performances starting at 7pm. The Martin, Split-Rail & Dorothy are all vaccinated only spaces and all guests must provide proof of vaccination with an ID upon arrival. A card only bar will be available for purchase with alcohol & NA options. Want to dine at Split-Rail before the show? We highly recommend making a reservation! The Martin is an artist-first community space located in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago.
