Create a mosaic square out of broken dishes and ceramic tile as part of a community "patchwork quilt." No experience needed! Create a mosaic square out of broken dishes and ceramic tile to be part of a community "patchwork quilt." Bethel resident and teaching artist Dayna Sabatino will give a brief lecture about the tools and materials involved in architectural mosaic art and will show you how to create a mosaic quilt square. Your square will later be incorporated into a community mosaic "quilt" to be hung in Bethel. A large variety of broken dishes and ceramic tiles will be provided to craft with. No experience is necessary. Just come learn and have fun in a pressure-free environment. Instructor(s): Dayna Sabatino, Day Breaks Glass, https://www.daybreaksglassvt.com Instructor Bio: Dayna is a teaching artist, providing education and inspiration in the ancient arts of stained glass and mosaic through fun and approachable workshops and community projects. Dayna enters 2022 with two decades of experience in her craft moving her forward. Number of Sessions: This group meets one time. Materials to Have Prepared: Participants may bring a special broken dish to share or use Restrictions or Requirements: Children under 15 should be with an adult Bethel University Vermont (BU) is a free community pop-up university based in Bethel, Vermont and created by the Bethel Revitalization Initiative.
