Description
We love these sweet birds but unfortunately we are moving and taking them with us is not an option. No rehoming fee but I want to be confident they are going to good homes that are able to properly take care of them. Button Quail: 1. 2 males, around 5 months old, brothers and bonded. One is closer to a wild type and the other is pure white. They come with their wire cage for free if you want it. but they would also be very happy in a 40 gallon tank with a lid or any other enclosure around that same size. They would do very well in a home without other button quail, as males are more quiet and tame without females around. 2. 1 currently solitary male, 5 months old. he is pretty docile, and right now he has a little injury to his head. I had him with a female but she rejected and attacked him. If you have a female that needs a mate he would be great for the job. He is red breasted, and I believe he carries the white, and cinnamon genes. 3. 1 currently solitary female, 1.5 years old, dark almost black colored. She attacked her last mate but has been successfully paired with other males. She would probably be very happy to be kept with another female. Coturnix Quail 1. A monogamous male/female pair. The male is 1.5 years old and a lovely solid orange color, the female is 4 months old and looks similar to a wild type but is lighter in color. This male is a lovely mate when kept with ONLY one female. If he is kept with more than one female he will bully and attack the one he likes less. They are free with a somewhat poorly made hutch if you want it. 2. A young rooster, 4 months old, looks like a wild type but hes lighter in color. His crow is pretty quiet which I appreciate. 3. A white rooster, 1 year old. He is a voracious breeder but has never attacked a female. He would do well with a fairly large group of hens. He seems to prefer wild type, or brown birds and ignores other white birds for some reason. He is a favorite of mine but I simply don't have the number of ladies he seems to require. He will take treats from your hand if you offer them. 4. A group with 1 rooster, and 4 hens. The rooster is a wild type and about 1.5 years old, the hens range in age from 5 months-1.5 years old. 3 of the hens lay eggs regularly and one on and off. They come with the fairly large tractor they live in if you want it. The tractor is not suitable for use outside though, it keeps birds in, but will not keep predators or rain out. I'm happy to answer questions about their care if you are interested in them. They make lovely pets and the coturnix lay excellent eggs. Ill want to make sure you are aware of what to feed them and how to house them before I rehome any of them.
