Displays and demonstrations will help you learn about lapidary art and geology! Hourly door prizes and a grand prize! DINOSAURS ROCK is a 40-minute interactive program for kids followed by a Fossil Dig. Each child digs for 3 specimens to take home including shark teeth! Dinosaurs Rock is daily at 12, 2 and 4. SCOUT GEOLOGY INFORMATION SESSIONS - To help get scouts started on their geology merit badges, sessions will be conducted providing geology information. Admission is $7 for adults (good for both days of the show), $3 for students in grades 6-12, and children and scouts in uniform are Free. Open Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5. Free parking. The Clear Lake Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show is held in late February each year at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas, southeast of the Houston Metro area, 2.5 miles east of Beltway 8. The CLGMS is an active part of the Clear Lake City and Greater Houston Community. Our mission is to promote education and popular interest in the various earth sciences; in particular in those hobbies dealing with the art of lapidaries and the science of minerals, fossils and their associated fields.
